Home matters most
In talking with our clients, we’ve observed that their lives outside of home are clearly organized and scheduled. When it comes to inside the home, however, there seems to be less clarity over all. This results in recurring battles and hassles over chores, expectations and freedoms.
If clarity doesn’t start within the home, it just doesn’t start. We know that kids are capable when given a chance to demonstrate responsibility. Clarity of expectations makes life easier on us as parents and on our kids.
During the next few weeks we will be exploring areas of home life to help you and your family have clarity about time spent in the home. This will work towards creating a calm environment, and creating confident, calm and capable kids.
We’ll be guiding you through with questions to ask yourself. These questions and their answers will increase your family’s clarity and will support you in setting your family up for success.
Here are this weeks questions:
If we walked into your home and asked your children about their home schedules; that is what needs to be done and when, could they tell us?
Do they know when they can have their screens and when they can’t?
Do they know what days they must shower/bathe?
Do they know when bedtime is?
Do they know their weekly schedule?
Spend this week getting clear on how your time is spent at home and how you can clarify expectations for your family, resulting in an increased sense of calm.
